FAQ

What happens when I take my dog in ?

We will first assess your dog’s coat and body and discuss with you what you would like done.We will describe a typical clip for the breed and will be happy for you to bring a picture of what you would like.

What if my dog is matted ?

If your dog is matted we will discuss your options. While a matted coat may look fluffy it is likely the skin underneath is covered with tight matted hair which is an ideal environment for diseases such as fungal infections (hot spots), sores, cuts and even fleas or parasites. Bathing a matted coat can tighten the matte and leave the problem ten times worse. Usually removal is the only option which allows a new fresh coat to grow.

Will dematting cost more ?

Extra services will cost more and this is shown on our price list. Feel free to discuss this with us .

Do you recommend regular grooming ?

We will be happy to set up a regular grooming programme with you in order to keep your dog looking its best. This can be every two weeks or every three months and we will show you how to maintain your dog’s coat with regular grooming at home.We will advise on combs and brushes and proper use of these.
